There are different alliances throughout the airline industry that provide airline frequent flyer programs so consumers can benefit on multiple airlines. Below are some of the different alliances:
One World Alliance

Profile: Oneworld travels to 688 destinations in 142 countries. It has a combined fleet of approximately 2,500 aircraft. There are currently ten member airlines:
Star Alliance

Profile: Established in 1997, Star Alliance is the largest of the three airline alliances. Its airlines fly to 855 destinations in 155 countries. It has a combined fleet of 2,777. Member airlines include:
SkyTeam
Website: www.skyteam.com.
Profile: SkyTeam flies to 744 destinations in 151 countries. It has a combined fleet of more than 2,000 aircraft. It has ten member airlines and three associate airlines: AirEuropa, Copa Airlines and Kenya Airways.
